These houses were left perilously close to falling into a river after monsoon rains caused landslides in the Philippines. <br /><br />The torrential downpours battered the capital region around Manila on July 1 causing flooding as the country enter the typhoon season this month.<br /><br />Residents in Caloocan City looked on anxiously after the banks next to a river collapsed with landslides. Several houses were left hanging over the steep drop into the water below.<br /><br />Abhie Gail Directo, whose uncle's home is seen in the video, said: "The non-stop rain has made the land soft, and the flash floods have taken away most of the house's foundation. We are scared that the affected houses will be next.<br /><br />''They could fall into the river unless building work is done on the foundations. I hope someone from the government can help us."
