US tourists witnessed the eruption of a volcano on the Italian island of Stromboli yesterday (July 3).<br /><br />The volcano erupted at around 4:30 pm local time sending a massive mushroom cloud into the atmosphere.<br /><br />Islanders and tourists were soon evacuated from the island.<br /><br />The filmer said: "There was a huge explosion, really, really loud.<br /><br />"We were in awe for about a minute and a half. <br /><br />"We didn't comprehend the massiveness."
