And the athletes' village for the 2019 Gwangju FINA World Aquatics Championships has opened its doors ahead of the start of the championships next Friday.<br />The first 100 athletes, including 68 South Koreans, are expected to enter the village today.<br />The athletes' village will accommodate about four-thousand athletes and officials, and approximately two-thousand members of the media covering the event.<br />It's equipped to provide all the support athletes need, including a halal food corner and recovery room.<br />Starting today,.... the authorities will keep the competition's venues and the village off limits to the public for security reasons.<br />
