Hundreds of riders gathered at the barren plains below Mount Bromo in Indonesia to race their horses across the sand.<br /><br />Filmed on July 2, the riders are seen eagerly waiting for the race to start before launching across the 300-metre track.<br /><br />As large clouds of sand are being kicked up by the galloping horses, the jockeys have to wear protective goggles and sarongs.
