This is the harrowing moment a huge python was caught after swallowing a puppy. <br /><br />The 14-foot-long snake was found curled up at the bottom of a concrete pipe on Wednesday (July 3) in Songkhla province, southern Thailand. <br /><br />The shocked resident immediately called the emergency services who arrived and dragged the beast from its hiding place. <br /><br />Footage shows how a large bulge could be seen in the snake's stomach, from where it had swallowed one the young dogs that had been roaming around the garden.<br /><br />The owner said: ''This is the first time that such a large snake has been found in the area. It must have come from the forest because there are a lot of snakes there.''<br /><br />''This is the first time a snake here has eaten a whole puppy. It slithered away when it was full, and that's when we found it.''<br /><br />The local rescue foundation volunteers released the snake after they had caught it. However, it wasn't forced to regurgitate its pray and was left to digest it in peace.
