이총리 "세계수영선수권대회•한-아세안 특별정상회의 완벽 안전 유지"<br /><br />South Korea's Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon has called on government agencies to prepare thoroughly so that there are no safety or security concerns when Korea hosts upcoming international events.<br />He was speaking at the 9th National Counterterrorism Committee meeting earlier today.<br />"In four days, the 2019 FINA World Championships will begin in Gwangju. And in Busan in November, the Korea-ASEAN Special Summit will take place. I hope all related organizations do their best to maintain perfect security for these two events."<br />He added that there are still many terrorist movements around the globe, citing a South Korean national who was recently caught while trying to join ISIS.<br />Lee expressed his gratitude towards other countries including the United Arab Emirates for rescuing a South Korean national who returned home in May after being kidnapped in Libya.<br />
