An overflow of water in Barker Park contributes to a flash flood warning issued by the National Weather Service for the immediate D.C. metropolitan area today (July 8).<br /><br />Amanda Anderson who grew up in Frederick, M.d. which is part of the D.C. metropolitan area, could not believe what she was seeing when she went outside this morning.<br /><br />"I grew up her and lived in the heart of baker park all my life. I remember it flooding but nothing like this. I was excited to be able to witness this, says Anderson."<br /><br />Downed trees and mudslides are also impacting the area and causing dangerous situations around the region. Thousands are experiencing power outages, reports say.
