Fingerless S. Korean climber has reached summit of 13 of the 14 mountains higher than 8,000m

South Korean climber Kim Hong-bin, …who lost all of his fingers to frostbite in 1991, has succeeded in reaching the summit of 13 of the 14 mountains in the world that are higher than 8-thousand meters.<br />According to the Gwangju Metropolitan City Sports Association for the Disabled, Kim reached the top of the world's 11th highest mountain, Gasherbrum One, on Sunday.<br />With this, he has scaled 13 of the 14 mountains over eight-thousand meters above sea level in the Himalayan region.<br />Kim plans to climb the final eight-thousander and become the world's first handicapped climber to conquer all 14 of them by next year.<br />He has already completed the Seven Summits Challenge by scaling the highest peaks on the world's seven continents.<br />
