A severe hailstorm hit Pescara, Italy today (July 10) causing severe damage to properties and injuring dozens.<br /><br />Footage shows hailstones the size of golf balls battering the seafront close to the city centre.<br /><br />The filmer told Newsflare: ''We went to the beach and after two minutes the rain began. <br /><br />''We waited under a bridge and then the hail and the wind comes very fast. <br /><br />''There was big chaos in the streets. The hailstones broke the windows of the cars.<br /><br />''After the hailstorm, we ran back to our cars and one of the windows in my sister car was broken.''
