Bringing out the tickertape,... the U.S. women's national soccer team celebrated their World Cup victory in New York City on Wednesday,... joined by fans tossing confetti and chanting "equal pay".<br />Their victory cast fresh light on the women team's fight for equal pay with their male counterparts.<br />If the U.S. men's team won the World Cup, each player would receive ten times as much as their female counterparts were awarded after they lifted the trophy.<br />The women's team has been fighting for this issue for months.<br />They filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Soccer Federation in March over unequal pay.<br />
