This was the terrifying moment staff and guests at a restaurant were sent scrambling after a powerful storm hit the Greek region of Halkidiki last night (July 10).<br /><br />The severe weather has battered the region leaving six tourists dead and at least 30 more injured.<br /><br />Police and the Greek army have been seen on the streets since and authorities have told residents and tourists to be on alert as there is a possibility that the storm could return tonight.<br /><br />Andy Gilchrist, from Bangor, Northern Ireland, who is on holiday with his family told Newsflare: "We were enjoying dinner at the Anaya restaurant of Ikos Oceania when first a lightning show, then winds hit within seconds glasses and plates were flying, then the full storm hit and chair covers etc went flying in a truly awesome display of power by the elements. <br /><br />"The storm lifts up heavy glass window panels and gets underneath into the outside part of the restaurant with frightening strength. <br /><br />"Staff and guests were terrified, hiding in the restrooms and everyone was completely trapped in the restaurant which is on the edge of a steep incline facing the sea."
