Tropical Storm Barry is approaching the Gulf Coast and is expected to land in Louisiana on Saturday.<br />Barry will be the first tropical storm to hit the U.S. this year, according to the National Weather Service.<br />States of emergency have been declared in New Orleans, St. Bernard, and St. Charles with mandatory evacuations for Jefferson Parish and Plaquemines Parish.<br />These regions will likely see heavy rainfall causing flash flooding, river flooding and storm surges throughout the weekend.<br />
