On Friday night, just after 8 p.m., another powerful earthquake hit Southern California. <br />Reuters reports that the quake registered at a magnitude of 7.1.<br />It started rumbling close to the town of Ridgecrest, near Death Valley National Park, which is about 125 miles northeast of Los Angeles.<br />The earthquake caused fires, some injuries, power outages, and damage to buildings.<br />Officials explained that it shook with "eight times more force than a foreshock that rattled the same area a day earlier. <br />
