<br /> Business Insider reports an extreme heatwave is hitting India this summer.<br />The heatwave has broken records and killed more than 100 people.<br />Parts of the country have exceeded 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit).<br />The state that contains the capital New Delhi exceeded 48 C (118 F) — its hottest June on record.<br />One researcher said that letting global heating trends continue "runs the risk of having extremely lethal heat waves." <br />
