Scientists have been worried for years about the melting ice sheets of Antarctica at Earth's southern pole.<br />Researchers ran simulations to predict how the Thwaites Glacier could degrade over the next 50 to 800 years.<br />According to CNN, the results showed the glacier was more in danger of becoming unstable that previously thought.<br />An unstable ice sheet is a frozen, ticking time bomb. Once this instability is triggered it's hard, if not impossible, to stop. <br />
