<br /> The Radio Times reports a new episode of Doctor Who plans to air “some time before series 12 hits screens.<br />According to iO9, the episode could possibly be in a festive slot like a New Year’s Day Special or a Christmas special.<br />The episode will be a standalone, rather than any particularly direct lead in to the new season.<br />The next season of Doctor Who is set to air sometime in 2020. <br />
