According to Reuters, the US Supreme Court upheld a decision to remove a citizenship question from an upcoming census questionnaire.<br />Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the 5-to-4 ruling, stating that they sided with a lower court's decision from January.<br />A group of states, including New York, challenged the citizenship question with the help of immigrant rights organizations.<br />Chief Roberts also wrote that the Trump administration's reason for adding the question was contrived. <br />
