Police caught a chimpanzee that had escaped from its enclosure at Hefei Wildlife Park on July 12.<br /><br />The CCTV video shows a group of visitors running out of the zoo gates as the runaway chimpanzee chasing after them.<br /><br />After all the people escaped, the staff closed the door and locked the chimpanzee inside the zoo.<br /><br />A keeper that showed up was attacked and pushed to the ground by the monkey.<br /><br />Then the chimpanzee can be seen climbing onto a roof where a policeman shoots it with a tranquillizer gun. <br /><br />Although the chimp pulled the tranquilizer needle out immediately, it soon became unconscious. <br /><br />The police eventually captured the chimpanzee and no one was injured.
