Tropical Storm Barry is closing in on New Orleans. Reuters reports the storm is predicted to make landfall early Saturday morning.<br />Officials are predicting extreme rain and flooding for the area with the brunt of the storm expected to skirt the western edge of New Orleans.<br />Barry converged in the Gulf of Mexico on Thursday morning, packing maximum sustained winds of 40 miles per hour.<br />The high winds came one day after the gathering storm flooded New Orleans with nearly a foot of rain. <br />
