South Koreans' love for coffee is reflect in new industry data.<br />A report by the Hyundai Research Institute projects the local coffee industry's sales will hit 5-point-8 billion U.S. dollars by the end of the year. <br />That averages out to roughly 300 cups of coffee per person for the year,... which is three times the estimated global average.<br />Sales at coffee shops are forecast to reach 3-point-six billion dollars this year, while grocery stores, online and other retailers are looking at around two billion dollars.<br />The top three brands last year were the American franchise Starbucks, and local coffeehouses A Twosome Place and Ediya Coffee. <br />
