Millions of devotees flocked to the coastal town of Puri in the eastern state of Odisha in eastern India, to attend the annual Rath Yatra festival on July 12.<br /><br />The world's largest chariot festival sees devotees taking three Hindu gods - Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath and Devi Subhadra - out of their home temple in a colourful procession to another temple.<br /><br />Footage shows massive wooden chariots making their way through crowds through the city. <br /><br />As per legend, the deities come out of their abode annually to give darshan to all devotees, irrespective of caste, creed and religion.
