Foreigners who repeatedly miss health insurance payments may not have their visas extended

정부, 건강보험료 체납 외국인 비자 연장 제한<br /><br />Foreign residents in South Korea who miss their health insurance payments at least four times will not be granted visa extensions.<br />Those who miss up to three payments will only be allowed an extension of six months or less.<br />The changes will take effect starting next month.<br />Foreigners who stay in Korea for more than six months are now required to sign up to public health insurance.<br />Students and skill-training visa holders, however, are exempt until March 2021.<br />
