Thunder's Attempts to Trade <br />Chris Paul Are On Hold It is increasingly likely that Paul will start the <br />season in Oklahoma City, according to ESPN. The Thunder acquired Chris Paul <br />and two future first-round picks in a trade with the Houston Rockets for Russell Westbrook. Paul has three years and $124 million <br />remaining on his contract. Paul previously played in <br />Oklahoma City during the <br />2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons, when New Orleans was relocated <br />due to Hurricane Katrina. With Paul and a roster that includes <br />Danilo Gallinari, Steven Adams, Dennis Schroder and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, <br />the Thunder could have a competitive team <br />in 2019-2020.
