Anthony Davis Will Wear No. 3 for <br />Lakers After Issues With Nike LeBron James was reportedly going to gift Davis <br />his No. 23 to wear in Los Angeles this season. Davis was acquired by the Lakers in a trade <br />with the New Orleans Pelicans this offseason for Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, <br />Josh Hart and three first-round picks. James posted on Twitter about wearing No. 6, <br />which he previously wore with the Miami Heat. The number change for both players will be on <br />hold until next season, according to Yahoo Sports. Nike cited production issues and <br />money that would be lost in <br />unsold LeBron James No. 23 jerseys as the primary reasons for not allowing <br />the number changes this season. The Lakers officially introduced Davis <br />and his No. 3 jersey on Saturday.
