The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation to raise the federal minimum wage.<br />The amount varies by state but it will raise to $15 an hour by October 2025, says Reuters.<br />Seattle, San Francisco, New York state, California, Arkansas and Missouri have already raised their minimum wage.<br />Amazon.com and Costco start at $15 an hour and Target promises the same by the end of 2020.<br />House Speaker Nancy Pelosi celebrated by saying about 33 million people in the country are getting a raise. <br />
