G7, IT공룡에 디지털세 부과원칙 합의<br /><br />The finance ministers of the Group of Seven countries say they've "agreed in principle" to tax digital tech giants such as Google and Facebook on their offshore income.<br />In a meeting outside Paris on Thursday, the finance chiefs reached a consensus on what they called "a minimum level of effective taxation" the tech giants should pay.<br />However, an actual rate wasn't decided.<br />France hailed that agreement, but the U.S. stressed that more work needs to be done.<br />Earlier this month, France's parliament passed a law that will tax tech giants on income earned in countries other than their home country.<br />The U.S. reacted by complaining that the law discriminates against U.S.-based firms, such as Amazon and Apple.<br />
