A rare tornado hit areas near Manchester on Friday afternoon, including a flower show and the city's airport.<br /><br />After a period of very heavy rain, visitors to the Royal Horticultural Society flower show at Tatton Park saw a tornado in the sky.<br /><br />The tornado lasted about an hour and caused mostly fairly minor damage, though some trees were broken or uprooted.
