Storm tears down trees and power lines in southern Thailand

Footage shows the damage caused by a storm which tore down trees and power lines in southern Thailand on July 22.<br /><br />The storm battered the city of Hat Yai in Songkhla province bringing torrential rain and powerful gusts just after 3pm in the afternoon. <br /><br />Trees were blown over which pulled down power lines, with several concrete posts landing on vehicles. <br /><br />Nobody was injured in the monsoon rainy season storm but locals were left without power and officials were today cleaning away the damage.<br /><br />The rainy season starts at the end of May and lasts until late September, bringing regular heavy rain.
