Indian forest officials rescue 15 baby king cobras from electrical shop

Footage has emerged of baby king cobras being rescued from inside a shop in northern India.<br /><br />The incident took place on July 19 in the Banjarawala region of Uttarakhand state's Dehradun district.<br /><br />The video shows rescuers catching the baby snakes using metal hooks.<br /><br />Reports said the reptiles were first noticed by Sumit Kumar, an electrical shop owner, who noticed three baby king cobras roaming inside the facility.<br /><br />Upon realising that there could be more snakes, Kumar alerted the forest officials, who rushed to the spot to catch the reptiles.<br /><br />Forest officials caught 15 snakes and later released them in their natural habitat.<br /><br />Visuals also showed a forest official telling the man that he was lucky to avert an accident as the small snakes possess a deadly venom.
