Pro Boxer Maxim Dadashev Dies From Brain Injuries Sustained in Match The Russian native, a <br />junior welterweight, <br />was only 28 years old.<br />According to ESPN, Dadashev's death was a result <br />of brain damage after his defeat last week <br />on Friday to Subriel Matias. <br />The 11-round match was the first loss of Dadashev's pro boxing career. Their fight was held at <br />Maryland's MGM National Harbor.<br />Following the bout, Dadashev collapsed on his way to the dressing room.
