Western Europe is bracing for this summer's second heatwave as forecasters predict a record-breaking run this week for Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands.<br />With the mercury expected to climb up to 40 degrees Celsius, the countries have issued weather warnings and activated national heat plans to prevent casualties.<br />The French city of Bordeaux hit its highest temperature since records began on Tuesday with the mercury hitting 41-point-2 degrees Celsius.<br />French energy firm EDF has shut two nuclear reactors in the southern region due to concerns the water used to keep its reactors cool might heat up.<br />
