<br /> China’s Huawei Technologies Co Ltd is slashing more than 600 jobs at its research arm in the United States.<br />According to Reuters, Futurewei Technologies employed 850 workers in the United States.<br />The layoffs come after the company was placed on a trade blacklist by the U.S. government.<br />In May, the U.S. Commerce Department placed the firm on its “entity list” of organizations that pose security risks.<br />The blacklist also restricts Huawei from purchasing products from U.S. technology companies. <br />
