Robert Mueller Testifies <br />His Report Is 'Thorough, <br />Fair and Consistent'<br />The Special Counsel was appointed <br />to lead the investigation into <br />President Donald Trump and Russian <br />interference into the 2016 election. <br />He was questioned for <br />three and a half hours by members <br />of the House Judiciary Committee.<br />In his opening statement, <br />Mueller was clear his testimony would <br />be limited due to ongoing litigation. <br />He stated that he did <br />not "intend to summarize <br />or describe the results of <br />our work in a different way."<br />During questioning, Mueller often <br />responded in one word sentences, <br />and cited the two volume report as answer.<br />Mueller confirmed that his <br />investigation did not exonerate <br />Trump for obstruction of justice.<br />He affirmed that <br />the President could <br />be indicted after <br />leaving office.<br />The President tweeted several <br />times during the hearings, and <br />campaign texts were sent out to his <br />supporters referencing Mueller's testimony.
