Meek Mill Launching New Label<br />With Jay-Z's Roc Nation<br />Meek is joining forces with<br />Roc Nation to bring his<br />Dream Chasers label to life.<br />Jay-Z spoke about the<br />endeavor on Tuesday.<br />"We look at the big picture—this is way beyond signing artists and having hot records."<br />"We've never been in this position before, never had this sort of power. Hip-hop is 40-something years old so we've just now gotten to the point where we can really affect change."<br />Meek will be in charge of<br />assembling a team to find the type<br />of talent they are seeking.<br />All production aspects will<br />be handled in house.<br />For now, Meek will still be<br />releasing music of his own<br />with Maybach/Atlantic.<br />The 32-year-old rapper also has the<br />documentary, 'Free Meek,' coming out soon,<br />and he became part owner of Lids Inc. in June.
