'Blade Runner' Actor<br />Rutger Hauer Dead at 75<br />According to Page Six, the<br />Dutch actor died at home on June 19.<br />He had been battling<br />an unspecified illness.<br />A rep for Hauer told 'Variety' that his funeral took place on Wednesday.<br />"This is not news, but he was a great guy and a great actor."<br />Hauer was most known for playing Roy Batty in 'Blade Runner.'<br />He also had memorable roles in<br />'Sin City' and 'Batman Begins.'<br />He won a Golden Globe for<br />best supporting actor in<br />1987's 'Escape from Sobibor.'<br />Hauer was also a devoted environmentalist<br />and had an AIDS awareness organization,<br />the Rutger Hauer Starfish Association.
