For example, there were 3 Wise Men while Donald Duck had 3 nephews! And as the video above shows, we've come up with 3 great recipes for preparing potatoes in classy and tasty ways.<br /><br />1. Creamy Potatoes<br /><br />You'll need:<br /><br />- 11 small round potatoes<br />- 2 tbsp olive oil<br />- 1 tsp chopped rosemary<br />- 1 tsp chopped thyme<br />- 2 chopped garlic cloves<br />- salt<br />- 1 tbsp butter<br />- 10 fl oz chicken stock<br />- 1 tbsp chopped parsley<br /><br />Here's how:<br /><br />1. Add the potatoes, olive oil, rosemary, thyme, butter, and salt to a pan.<br /><br />2. Next add the chicken broth and leave it to cook down until the broth has boiled away and the potatoes are soft.<br /><br />3. Press the potatoes flat using a second, slightly smaller pan and fry it on both sides until they are crispy.<br /><br />4. To finish, sprinkle on some parsley before serving.<br /><br />* * *<br /><br />2. Fondant Potatoes<br /><br />You'll need:<br /><br />- 4 large potatoes (starchy)<br />- salt and pepper<br />- 1 sprig thyme<br />- 1 tbsp butter<br />- 6¾ fl oz vegetable stock<br /><br />Here's how:<br /><br />1. As seen in the video, peel the potatoes into cylindrical, rectangular blocks.<br /><br />2. Cut the potato blocks in half and fry them in a pan heated with oil until they're golden on the bottom. Season with salt and pepper.<br /><br />3. Turn the potatoes over to fry them on the other wide before adding the butter and thyme.<br /><br />4. Pour the vegetable stock into the pan and leave everything to boil for a short while.<br /><br />5. To finish, place everything in an oven set to 390°F with the top and bottom heat on for 30 minutes.<br /><br />* * * <br /><br />3. "Boxed" Potatoes<br /><br />You'll need:<br /><br />- 9 medium-sized potatoes (starchy)<br />- salt and pepper<br />- 3 tbsp olive oil<br />- 1 tsp chopped rosemary<br /><br />Here's how:<br /><br />1. First boil the potatoes in salty water until they're soft.<br /><br />2. Spread olive oil on a baking tray, place the potatoes on top, and and crush them using your fists or a suitable kitchen utensil.<br /><br />3. Season the "boxed" potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and rosemary. Bake them at 390°F in a preheated oven with the top and bottom heat on for 15 minutes. Serve the potatoes with a dollop of crème fraîche.
