Stick one skewer through each of the raw, washed potatoes. Then cut a spiral design in each potato.

1.2. Pull the skewers out of the potatoes and use a potato peeler or apple corer to carefully pull out the center of each potato. It should be a wide enough space to fit a hot dog.

1.3. Stick a hot dog in the hollow center of each potato and pull the potato apart so it completely covers the length of the hot dog.

1.4. Mix the flour, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and water together with a whisk.

1.5. Heat some oil in a deep pot to approximately 350°F.
