Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rosselló Announces Resignation<br />Ricardo Rosselló, who has been at the center of a text message scandal since July 13, has announced his intent to resign.<br />In the almost 14-minute-long video statement, Rosselló said he would officially leave office on Friday, August 5.<br />I feel that to continue in this position would make it difficult for the success that I have achieved to endure…Ricardo Rosselló, via statement<br />He also admitted to his mistakes, saying he knows “ apologizing is not enough.”<br />Rosselló is currently set to be replaced by the Puerto Rico’s secretary of justice, Wanda Vazquez.<br />Vazquez is next in line for the position as the secretary of state, Luis Rivera Marin, already resigned due to his involvement in the scandal.
