The new policy prohibits private sales, trades and gifting of alcohol or tobacco on Facebook and Instagram, a spokeswoman told CNN. The policy also applies to Facebook groups selling alcohol or tobacco. The spokeswoman said the company will "use a combination of technology, human review and reports from our community to find and remove any content that violates these policies." Recently, the e-cigarette company Juul has been accused of contributing to an epidemic of teen vaping. The company came under fire for paying popular Instagram users to promote its device.
