South Korea's Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha will step up diplomacy in a bid to reverse Japan's export control measures against South Korea when she attends next week's ASEAN Regional Forum in Thailand.<br />Kang is said to have arranged bilateral meetings with eight foreign ministers on the sidelines of the South Korea-ASEAN foreign ministers' meeting in Bangkok from July 31st to August 3rd.<br />According to a ministry official on Thursday, Kang will stress the importance of a free and fair trade environment and call for Japan to promptly retract its improper export curbs.<br />She will also try to win support from other ASEAN member countries.<br />Kang has yet to set up a meeting with Japanese foreign minister Taro Kono.<br />
