Footage shows a collapsed church in the Philippines this morning after an earthquake killed at least eight people and injured dozens more. <br /><br />The back-to-back quakes rocked the northern Philippines just after 4am local time. <br /><br />A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck the Batanes archipelago, the US Geological Survey reported. About 20 minutes later, a second quake hit the same area near Itbayat at a magnitude of 4.5.<br /><br />Footage from a village in Batanes shows the devastation caused to local stone buildings, with a church collapsing. <br /><br />Mr Ricardo Jalad, executive director of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), said eight people had died as of 9am in the morning.<br /><br />He said they were hit by rubble and debris.
