There were tense scenes at the latest protest in Hong Kong.<br /><br />Here a female protester asks the police to shoot her, as a police liaison officer in a blue vest tries to speak to her.<br /><br />The protests began weeks ago, originally against an extradition bill with mainland China, now broadened to include demands for greater democracy and complaints about police inaction when triad-linked gangs attacked people in the Yuen Long area last week.
