A large bomb and gun attack hit Kabul on Sunday as the first day of Afghanistan's presidential campaign began.<br />The attacks were aimed at the office of the vice-presidential candidate and former intelligence chief, Amrullah Saleh.<br />Officials said at least two people were killed and at least 25 more were injured.<br />Shortly after the blast, gunmen exchanged fire with security forces in a building belonging to Saleh's Afghan Green Trend Party.<br />Saleh was wounded but safely evacuated from the office.<br />The attacks are presumed to have been conducted by either Taliban insurgents or the Islamic State group that oppose the election.<br />
