Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador said today that his officers have intensified the crackdown on drugs, as the levels of substance abuse have reached "breaking point."<br /><br />"If we do not tackle it now, the abuse will be on par with Colombia," he told reporters at the Police Training Centre in Kuala Lumpur today.<br /><br />Hamid stressed that in the past two months, the Narcotic Crimes Investigation Department has redoubled efforts to crack down on drugs, gambling and vice, and has conducted a lot of successful raids.
