Greta Thunberg to Sail to USA<br />for UN Climate Action Summit On July 29, Greta Thunberg announced her<br />plan to travel from the UK to NYC via a<br />60 foot racing boat called the Malizia II. She will depart in mid-August and the journey<br />across the Atlantic is expected to take two weeks. Thunberg announced in June that she<br />would be attending the UN Climate Action<br />Summit in New York on September 23, and the Conference of the Parties in<br />Santiago, Chile, on December 2-13. The 16-year-old climate activist plans to take<br />a year off of school in order to attend the summits. Thunberg previously expressed uncertainty<br />as to how she would attend the conferences,<br />as she refuses to travel via plane. Greta Thunberg, via ‘The Guardian'
