World's heaviest cable-stayed bridge rotates into position in China's Baoding

An 81,000-ton cable-stayed bridge was completed after being rotated into position in northern China's Baoding city today (July 30).<br /><br />In the drone clip, the two towers can be seen rotating to connect with each other, forming the 495-metre-long and 39.7-metre-wide cable-stayed bridge.<br /><br />The swivel construction helps overcome the restriction of topography, transportation and environment, reduce the construction cost and time and ensure safety.<br /><br />A 92-ton weight and 6.5-metre-diametre rotating device have been installed under the bridge to make it spin. <br /><br />The weight of the bridge and the span of the rotating work have created two world records.
