Impressive time-lapse footage filmed on July 27 captures a massive fire burning on the Italian island of Stromboli.<br /><br />According to the filmer, photographer Adam Butler, who lives on the neighbouring island of Panarea: "The southern corner of the Aeolian Island of Stromboli, located off the northern coast of Sicily, burst into a massive fire. <br /><br />"This was possibly caused by new lava flows after the huge eruption of Stromboli earlier in the month. The fire burned for hours."<br /><br />The volcanic island erupted earlier this month on July 3.
