The clear-up operation continues this evening after a suspected gas-explosion tore through a ground-floor flat this morning (July 31) on the Siward Estate in Tooting, South London. <br /><br />An elderly man was taken to hospital and remains critical this evening and three other residents were treated for minor injuries at the scene. <br /><br />Debris had been cleared away by council workers and property was in the process of being boarded-up, showing the scale of the explosion. Representatives from Wandsworth continued to remain at the scene.
