Germany has rejected a U.S. request for Berlin to send warships to secure maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.<br />Washington recently asked its allies to participate in a mission to protect tankers from seizure by Iranian forces.<br />Germany reportedly appeared cool but on Wednesday, they had commented publically that they will not take part in the operations..<br />Germany said their participation would only contribute to intensifying tension with Iran and they intend to do the opposite.<br />
