'13 Reasons Why' Renewed for <br />Fourth and Final Season on Netflix.<br />The drama's third season is set to <br />drop on the streamer August 23.<br />Production on season four is <br />already underway, but the <br />episode count is unknown.<br />Throughout its first three go-arounds, <br />there have been 13 episodes <br />of the program.<br />Netflix's decision to end the show comes <br />soon after it removed a controversial <br />suicide scene from the first season.<br />The focus of the entire show had been that of a teenage girl taking her own life, leading to controversy.<br />Backlash has also been increased by the release of <br />a study that links the popularity of '13 Reason Why' <br />to the increase of teen suicides in the U.S.<br />A release date for the final season of the show <br />has not yet been revealed.
